What a cute room - so sad we only stayed a week :) Each of the six rooms in this charming little B&B is unique and full of character. Iris and her team are wonderful hosts, and can set you up with local tours and activities.

The breakfasts are great, and the dinners are even better - think local ingredients and traditional recipes.

It's located a few miles outside town in the beautiful Roseau Valley, so you'll need transport of some kind - but that's true pretty much anywhere you stay on Dominica. Your best bet is to hire a car and driver for day trips to the nearby waterfalls, sulfur springs, and hiking trails.

"Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so...

Fort Young Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Ft Young is always my go to when visiting the island. That being said if you are in the older part of the hotel, getting your luggage around is a challenge as the elevator does not get you to all areas, HOWEVER there is always friendly staff to lend a hand. I was disappointed not to get a room in the new, deluxe part of the hotel. Not sure how I go about getting one. Overall I am pleased with my stay. I would say that service has improved over the years. Helpful, friendly staff"
