Chose this hotel because we were attending a club volleyball tournament at Kutztown University. It was a 15-20 minute ride to campus; but very quiet, easy to navigate and overall a very kid-friendly location.

Excellent, relaxing stay. It's QUIET. Be prepared for a bit of noise from other rooms, though they do tell you that in advance on the website. Otherwise rooms were clean, hot tub was spotless, breakfast was delicious!

We didn't shop anywhere other than fueling up on diesel at Wawa. The area looked like a decent shopping location.

I was up in the area for a family funeral. We really didn't have time to go visit and sites. I was busy getting together with family during this time. That was the most important and only reason i was there. Hawthorn staff was Great!
