  • This is just one of many spectacular views from a walk entitled "Pas Du Loup". We started at Capluc, a cross on a peak above Le Rozier and did the entire circuit. It's still comfortably in my top ten all time great walks. If you suffer acrophobia it's one to be avoided. The area is also something of a mecca for rock climbers. The whole Goreg du Tarn is a special place for me because the tourist buses don't go there and it's reputedly the deepest gorge in Europe.

Hôtel de charme, calme, vue sur la montagne, agrémenté d'un joli jardin pour se détendre. Le personnel est très aimable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre repas au restaurant de l'hôtel, cuisine pleine de saveurs à base de produits locaux excellents. Bouilloire, sachet de thé et café à disposition. Un seul bémol, nous étions logé dans l'annexe, sans ascenseur.

Nettes Hotel mit ruhiger Lage, sehr gepflegter, funktionierender Einrichtung und einem hübschen Garten mit verschiedenartigsten Sitz-Liegegelegenheiten, um im Halbschatten den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Das Frühstück ist schön präsentiert, nicht überladen und doch ist alles vorhanden. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und aufmerksames Personal. Das dazugehörige Restaurant serviert gehobene, schmackhafte sorgfältig präsentierte Küche.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons apprécié l'accueil particulièrement aimable. Notre chambre était très jolie et confortable, la salle d'eau très agréable et très bien équipée (ai adoré le détail du miroir grossissant carré sur bras!). Partout, tout est impeccablement propre et joliment décoré. Nous avons également passé un très abréable et savoureux moment au restaurant de l'hôtel pour le dîner: délicieux, très belle carte, plats fins et là encore très bon service.

The hotel was clean, quiet and reasonably priced. There are not a lot of alternative places to stay in Florac, so I was happy with my choice of Hotel des Gorges du Tarn. The one disappointment was the dinner and breakfast. Both are overpriced. However, not many alternatives and so they have a captive clientele.

Good locatuion for starting the Gorge drive, but the town itself looks old and dirty which was disappointing. many rundown buildings old and disused. Hotel pictures give a slightly false impression of being more in the country when in fact on a main street, but no traffic noise. Staff were great and the rooms clean and comfortable

Our all too short stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect - the location was peaceful, the staff pleasant and helpful, the restaurant staff very skilled, the food STUPENDOUS and the decor of the hotel stunning! An all round wonderful experience.
