House was a great location on the New River, shallow and slow moving, great for kayaking. Had some luck with fishing too. There are a few places up and down stream to put in or take out. About 10 min up the road you can park at a church in Fleetwood, put in tubes or kayaks and go down stream to get out at the house. We also put in at the house and got out at dickins bottom road public access, this was about 2 hr paddle. The hot tub was very nice!! Not dirty, like some of the other comments mentioned. It does get pretty slick around it though, so be careful. Great yard for cornhole or other yard games. The water did have a sulfer smell, like mentioned in some comments, but I didn't think it was bad. The water from the fridge did not taste weird or have a smell, just the shower water and when you wash your hands. The bed was pretty hard and the blinds didn't keep much light out, this made it pretty difficult to get good sleep. The firepit is nice and the house is close to downtown West Jefferson, which is cute and nice to walk around. Great, relaxing stay overall.
