"Excellent location, close to the beach and restaurants. Keep in mind- No restaurants on site. The only water fountain and vending is on the ground floor. Would have to walk downhill and then uphill to get to the nearest restaurants and beach or drive. Hotel does have plenty of parking on site and stunning views of Avila Beach. Highly recommend."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was clean, quiet, and safe. It was within a block to the beach and pier, had easy access to restaurants, and easy to reach by car from Cal Poly SLO. It is just the right size for 1 or 2 people. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, plates, bowls, and a Keurig machine that could make a pot or a single mug, depending on the need. Some K-cups, sugar, and creamer were provided. The management was responsive to questions. One point to keep in mind: Avila market is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays, so if you are planning to cook, you will need to go shopping in SLO or Pismo on those days."

"Wonderful location. The home was perfect for me. The bed was comfortable, which is always a plus. The kitchen was well stocked. I enjoyed the view of Avila Pier from the lanai while tapping away on my computer keyboard, or just enjoying a snack and a cocktail. Laundry was a plus, especially since I had to extend my stay. I enjoyed lunch at Hula Hut and Happy Hour at Custom House. Blue Moon over Avila was very tasty! And of course several gift shops and clothing stores. And the beach......ahhhhhh yes. Very convenient and accessible. The "dumb waiter" was a great help, especially with groceries. From the garage, entering the "main" entrance to the condo, there are 4 flights of stairs and two locked doors before you access the condo. Once I figured out the lay of the land, I started using the pedestrian stairs where there's one locked gate with a code to access. This is from the lanai door, which can be locked from the outside. Minor details, but some may want to know this ahead of time. Great Place! Will return if available!"

"We had the best time celebrating our moms 80th birthday at the Cobbo Beach house! The elevator came in very handy for them. We were able to fit everyone under one roof due to its amazing spaciousness. We never felt on top of one another. We loved the great room with the huge kitchen, bar and outside deck area. We could have the big doors open and feel the ocean breeze. It was a great location! Just blocks from the beach. There was something for everyone to do. Beach, golf, wine tasting, fishing or watching the niner game on the huge TV. The house is stocked with everything you could ever need for a home away from home. Lisa was great to work with! She was quick to respond to any qestions for concerns. We will be back!"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been celebrating the end of summer with our kinds for 17 yrs in Avila. They are now in their mid 20s and it is a annual highlight. Gather is a great location, giving everyone plenty of space to relax, and easy walking distance to everything. The house is very nicely decorated and equiped but not so nice that you worry about it. The kitchen had everything we needed for a holiday meal but we only did light cooking. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms had everything we needed. Keyless entry is so convenient when you have people coming and going ... didn't have to manages who has the keys! Generous parking, beach chairs and towels and toys. We would definitely stay here again. Also - the property managers were very responsive ... we didn't need anything but i did reach out just to let them know we had checked in and they responded very quickly."
