「This beautiful hotel would benefit from having a ‘Scottish ‘theme to it . Obviously this is just a personal view, but its attempt to modernise has removed the authentic character of the building. The dining room felt rather like a school dining room with tables lined up in exact straight rows. No table cloths, no curtains, just blinds which made the room very noisy & rather unwelcoming. 」

「I liked everything about the Marine. Only one criticism and that was the fact that the hotel itself does not have a direct telephone that you can ring them on. All calls for all hotels in the group go through central reservations whom I called and was put on hold for half an hour. But everything other aspect of the hotel and our stay was excellent. Will definitely stay there again without question.」
