minimal staff but they were very friendly and helpful. Provided us with a portable fan for the room as it was unexpectedly hot in England during our stay. Room was comfortable and quite big by European standards

Really great place to stay in a lovely town. Great rooms and fantastic facilities. Loads of great restaurants nearby and a really convenient location for business trip in Aldershot.

we couldn't stay because there was no car park available when we arrived,the restaurant was closed ,we had a four tier wedding cake in the car and not suitable to leave it overnight outside as the temperature was too low ,the hotel was very nice and the young man was polite ,helpful ,the hotel was just not satisfactory for us

Great place to stay in the centre of Farnham
Lovely welcoming service, in spite of COVID restrictions still being in place. Comfortable, clean rooms, although a little warm I think because we were right in the eaves.

Disappointing
The room was nice, but facing the street, so very noisy most of the night. Breakfast was disappointing for the cost.

Lovely 18th century building updated with mod cons in the heart of Farnham central to everything. This was my first time travelling since February (pre-pandemic and lockdown) and it was reassuring to note the covid-secure measures that they had put in place. My stay was very comfortable and I'm sure I'll be back!

It is a strange hotel with limited reception. Breakfast is not very good even pre CV19. On the plus the staff that you encounter are friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious, Good shower. Fresh milk in room also a plus.

Nice hotel, probably great in normal circumstances
The location of the Bishop's Table was excellent for us, as it is in central Farnham and just a few yards from my mother-in-law's flat. There is limited free parking but a warning to anyone with a large SUV or people carrier, the access to the car park is via an archway that was designed for horse carriages. Very narrow and our SUV just fitted. With the current Covid-19 situation, reception hours are limited and we received a phone call as we were driving to ask when we would be checking in to make sure we would be able to access the room. Check in was very friendly and quick. The room was smaller than we expected and the rather warm. It was one of the hottest days of the year, but as the hotel room had no air conditioning, it was rather uncomfortable. Fortunately, unlike many hotels, the windows actually open almost completely, so we were able to get some air and that really helped. There was a small kettle and most of the usual "fixings" but although there was coffee (regular and decaff), herbal teas and instant hot chocolate provided, there was no normal "black" tea. A real disappointment for my wife. Despite notices saying everything had been cleaned before our arrival, cleanliness was not up to scratch. Lip stick mark on one glass, dirty marks on several towels,a bit of black mould in the shower and, a real annoyance, the kettle contained water - perhaps from a previous guest. A nice hotel, operating in difficult times, but must try harder.

A group of our friends stayed for a wedding at the Bishops Table Hotel. None of the rooms were provided water. I booked the hotel four months prior and I was given an attic room and hit my head several times because the walls are painted in solid white. We called early for breakfast and no answer from reception so I headed down to front desk and was told “well I’m serving breakfast in the dining room”. The bad attitude given by the personal is what made my experience generally unpleasant.

Thank you for your comments, and I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. I appreciate that some guests do like the Georgian style which can include sloping roofs, and some do not, and I have noted your comments. Water in the rooms is safe to drink, and if guests require bottled water it is available. I was surprised at your comments regarding unhelpful staff, as you will see from other reviews we have a 99% rating for helpfulness. Regarding breakfast, we do offer a breakfast basket for breakfast in bed which is listed in the room via a door hanger, and in the room folder, but to be able to prepare this at the time you would like it delivered, it does need to be ordered the night before as stated. We appreciate this may be missed, and on quiet days it may be possible to fit in, but on busy days it is not so easy as on this day. I think this was explained, but maybe where the communication is not clear. Once again I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay, and I will raise your concerns with the team.

Thank you for your comments. I am a bit concerned at which room this relates to as we cannot find the shower causing this problem. As we have been recently completely refurbished one would hope this does not occur. Regarding the bed, we do have new beds and quality mattresses throughout, and we have had good feedback, but appreciate that the firmness or not of a bed suits different people in different ways. I have also fed your comments regarding housekeeping back to the team as this is something we pride our selves on and receive good reviews. Thank you for your frank comments, and we will share with the team.

Lovely little Hotel
We stayed at the bishops table for two nights, very quick and friendly check in and the same when we checked out. Would definitely recommend staying there lovely little hotel.

I wasn't expecting much from the online photo so was very surprised at the standard of the hotel and the room when I arrived. Everything was very high quality. The digital radio and Bluetooth speaker in the room was great. All the fittings new and clean. Comfy bed. Great teas/coffee in the room. Would come back again. Highly recommend.

No heating and when I asked to fix, it took all my day and I slept late and after that they have the heating on timer and I asked to change this but nothing happened, so I had a cold morning every day for 4 nights:(
