The house was just perfect. Stephanie, as well as Steve, were amazing; answered any questions we had, and helped us navigate an unexpected issue due to the weather. They truly went above and beyond. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful A-Frame on Mountain Road

The house and surroundings are beautiful. Plenty of room for up to 8 people. Just stop for groceries and the house has everything you need to cook your meals inside or out on the grill. 45 min drive to Breckinridge from the house. You will want to make as few trips to the property as possible. During our stay the 5-6 mile drive from the highway was very rough. Some sections had so many deep potholes that you constantly drove in the oncoming lane to try and avoid them. The car and passengers take a beating. We have a 4 wheel drive SUV and the washboards lived up to their name. Didn’t see much wildlife other than deer during our visit. As we left for home we did have a moose cross in front of us just down the road from the house. There is a hiking trail located on the road right behind the cabin. Drive this road until it ends. The trail takes you to the summit of Pennsylvania Mt. Not a technical hike but has some elevation gain that will get your heart and lungs pumping.

High Alpine Mountain Home

My family of five had a great time in this Valley of the Sun home and surrounding area. We hiked several trails including the two located in the subdivision, whitewater rafted, enjoyed hot springs, visited Breckinridge which is 30 minutes away, and my son even ran the Burro Buster 5k in FairPlay! This home provided a great jumping off point to all of these activities. This very clean home also included several amenities and 2 acres of high alpine forest. The deck which includes a gas grill and patio table has spectacular Mountain View’s and we even saw several mule deer right outside the kitchen window! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to return on future travels.

Great place to zone out. We love this place due to privacy, cleanliness and just the right house design where it kept us warm during the unusual heavy snow in September. The fireplace was awesome and added just the right touch. Location is fairly convenient to Fairplay town where we hit the local brewery and grocery. Watch for those wonderful wildlife such as birds/squirrel/chipmunk. We did see dear/elk/bear tracks and if you are lucky enough, you might see them for yourself, but just make sure you keep your distance and your doors lock.

It is an amazing place!! We thoroughly enjoyed this home. It had everything we needed or wanted. Amazing views, very comfortable inside and out. We would definitely stay there again!!!!

Exceeded expectations!

This turned out to be a wonderful home and little getaway for our family. The setting was so peaceful and felt secluded, despite passing several other houses on the way up. I wished we could have used the huge firepit, but fire bans made that impossible. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. The host had thought of everything, even many blankets for.snuggling up on the couch! My husband and son fished in the nearby creek and caught 4 or 5 fish each time they went. We also hiked the Pica Trail. If you can handle the altitude, I highly recommend it, you get above treeline and can see other peaks in almost every direction. Too bad it was hailing on us as we took in the views😂. Overall, a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Family get away!!

Our family needed a getaway from the Texas heat and humidity, and this trip was perfect, the house was awesome the views are amazing and the stillness around it are just what we were looking for, the wind through the trees and the mountain air through the windows was more than an we were expecting, We are already planning another trip here again!!! Ideal mountain home

Everything about the place and experience was spot on. Communication with the owner and check-in was smooth and efficient. The home is ideally situated, not too far from trails, waters, highways, and town, but far enough to be peaceful and "out there". All was clean and perfect working order - modern appliances, working water fixtures, hot water, grill, lights, tv, wifi, etc. Plenty of room for people to spread out, but also gather in the common spaces. Great jumping off point for mountain adventures and relaxing spot to come back to. Hope to be back again!
