So glad we stayed at the InterContinental Resort Tahiti, as we met up with some other couples (also on the cruise we had been on with) staying elsewhere, not as happy as we were.

"Start with the positive. The rooms are clean and nice. The location is very close to the airport, but the walk with a suitcase is very challenging. Two sets of stairs and a steep grade. It reminded me of Mexico. Trash and junk everywhere. Everything was run down and dirty. Not the "paradise" you think of. Only some of the resorts on Tahiti are nice and clean and kept up.
