I love this place!!

I love this place!! I’ve stayed here before and decided then I would come back. The rooms are generous in size with a nice shower and seating area, and best of all the staff are very kind and accommodating. To be clear it’s not fancy by “Western” standards but more than comfortable and clean. I will stay here again.

Good accommodations and gracious host

John is a most gracious host and goes out of his way to see that you are cared for and comfortable. We have used this motel many times for our groups. This was the largest group to date - there were 16 of us. Check in was quick and easy. The motel staff is great. We will be there again next time we travel thru Entebbe.

Great place to stay near Entebbe Airport

The J Residence Motel is excellent. I stayed there twice, once at the beginning of my Uganda stay for 2 nights and then 1 night at the end. The staff is what really makes the place special. The service is excellent, and they are super friendly. I highly recommend this place, and I hope to stay there again if/when I return to Uganda.

A nice stay was had at J Residence Motel

I stayed 2 nights at J Residence Inn upon arriving from the USA. Their free airport shuttle is fast and reliable. The staff at the hotel is excellent. I especially found Habiba and Lawrence to be very nice and helpful. Habiba sorted out my transportation to Kampala and back. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. It's just what I needed after my long international flight.

A good hotel with 24 hour reception

I chose J Residence partly because of the price - very reasonable, but also for the 24 hour reception and the inclusion of collect from the airport. On the pictures I could see that it was secure. I was not disappointed. Our driver waited patiently while we went through immigration which took ages. When we met up with him, he did not complain, we apologised for the long wait but he accepted it as normal and part of his job. It was dark and the journey took a while and when we turned off the main road it didn't look particularly promising. However, once we arrived we were warmly greeted, expected and well catered for. The room was large and airy, the fan turned on, a double bed and a set of bunk beds with mosquito nets. The en suite had a hot shower and flushing toilet. We slept well. Breakfast was described as continental, but was far better. There was cereal, fruit, tea, coffee, three types of bread, a toaster, and we had scrambled eggs. Quite a feast! A good start on our journey into Uganda and a good stepping stone between Western life and what was to follow.

Comfortable quiet hotel outside of town.

J. Residence is a nice secluded little hotel hidden off the road. Staff is nice, room was clean and comfortable and I had everything I could ask for.
