perfect for two people
This beautiful cosy one bedroom cottage is the perfect blend of old meets new. It retains all the traditional features and open brickwork of the building but it has been transformed and modernised to make this charming retreat perfect for one or two people.
The vibrant coloured half door gives an indication of the style and beauty of this property before you even go inside. The reclaimed wooden flooring and exposed brickwork come together to create a welcoming and cosy space. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave etc and there is a lovely little dining table which tuck perfectly against the wall to make sure you have plenty of space.
The sitting room has a wood burning stove and a floor to ceiling feature fireplace behind. The couches and armchair are weathered and comfy and the perfect place to curl up with a good book or snuggle up and watch your favourite movie. If you want to simply sit and relax, your eye will be drawn upwards to the wooden shuttered window and the shelves below which feature an array of interesting collectables.
The bathroom is downstairs and is wet-room style with shower, sink and toilet. Alongside this is the full utility area with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer cleverly tucked away into this space.
To get to the bedroom you must go up the beautiful staircase which brings you to the mezzanine level. From here you can look down below you to the sitting room or continue conversing with the other person downstairs. For privacy though there is a screen which can be pulled over if required. There is plenty of space for storage and there is a wrought iron clothes rail to hang what is needed.
The attention to detail in the Coach House is second to none and is mirrored in its neighbouring homes – Thomond House, Castle House and De Clare House all within this gated private courtyard. For a special occasion, the Straw House on the opposite end of the courtyard has been transformed into a little chapel style room which has already hosted a number of weddings and celebrations.
Whether you are looking to escape on your own for a few days or to cosy up with a loved one, the Coach House is just perfect for your needs. We look forward to welcoming you….

We loved the Coachhouse! The historical setting off of a courtyard with the 18th century barracks and a castle tower was unique and memorable. The Coachhouse itself is lovely with exposed brick and wood, fully equipped kitchen and laundry and working fireplace. We loved it!
The property was wonderful and had everything. The people were super friendly and the standard was very high. Definitely part of the new Ireland and worth the money.
This property is one of the finest kept and carding crafted properties we’ve stayed in. It is a lovingly restored property who's owners are such wonderful people. We can't recommend this highly enough!
