Wir haben letzte Woche eine Nacht in der Unterkunft am Bach zugebracht. Das Zimmer ist im 50er/60er-Jahre-Stil eingerichtet. Die Zeit scheint hier dtehengeblieben zu sein, zumindest mit den Investitionen. Das Zimmer roch sehr muffig. Die Betten/Bettwäsche waren feucht und musste ausgetauscht werden, da sich alles sehr unangenehm auf der Haut angefühlt hat. Sorry, aber das kann man heute nicht mehr zur Unterkunft anbieten. Zum Glück waren wir nur auf der Durchfahrt. Der Vermieter war zwar sehr nett und zuvorkommend und das Frühstück sehr frisch zubereitet und ausreichend, aber das hat die schlechte Übernachtung leider nicht wett gemacht. Die Gaststätte im Haupthaus war leider geschlossen. Von der Terasse aus hatte man einen schrägen Blick auf den Stausee, mehr leider nicht.

Unser Zimmer war nicht gross und alles ein bisschen alt, aber blitzsauber! Umgebung war sehr schön mit viel Vogelarten im Stausee. Frühstück war stets gut mit ein Wirt der immer sehr gut gelaunt ist.

Leider ungepflegt

Das Zimmer, in das wir geführt wurden, war sehr klein, was nicht weiter schlimm gewesen wäre, wenn es zumindest sauber gewesen wäre. Leider merkte man schnell, das nicht wirklich geputzt worden war. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir zuerst nicht wirklich empfangen, obwohl jm. aus der Gastgeberfamilie auf der Terrasse war.Wir mussten selbst im Regen nach dem unscheinbaren EIngang suchen. Und ein komplett verdunkeltes Zimmer wirkt beim Hereinkommen nicht einladend. Wir waren von der Unsauberkeit und dem Empfang enttäuscht und würden das Hotel deshalb nicht weiterempfehlen.

Netter Landgasthof im Bergischen

Netter Landgasthof in ruhiger Lage mit viel Grün. Zimmer gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Personal freundlich uind hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Gasthof ist rustikal, reichlich und sehr schmackhaft. Kommen gerne wieder.

Good stay overall

The family room is really simple, 3 stars max (probably 2 is more accurate), but clean, no issues. You will hear water running if you open the windows (It's located creekside). But the owner is fun and welcoming, it's quiet, despite being close to railroad (German trains are really quiet, and there are very few of them). The location is nice and rustuc, albeit 40 min from Koln, close to a lake. Very few cars, quiet. Good breakfast. Try to get to it before dark, as Google sends you down a winding road, not a comfortable drive at night. Would recommend. Restaurant on premises.

Gut für einen Kurzurlaub.

Waren zu einem Kurzurlaub 2 Tage zur Übernachtung mit Frühstück. Zimmer war dafür vollkommen ausreichend. Frühstücksangebot war nach unseren Wünschen zusammengestellt. Personal sehr nett. Gute Tips für unseren Besuch in Köln gegeben.

Nice guest home

Family of 4 driving around to explore Germany. Affordable B&B guest home. It is a nice area except you won't be able to get there without a car. The host is a very nice and friendly gentleman and willing to accommodate our late arrival. Breakfast is great, one of the best in my trip. Not so good side - it is an older building so just don't expect too much on the comfort level of the bed; train comes by a few times at night and light sleeper better wear earplug before sleeping.

Die erhohlsamste Nacht seit langem!

Bewirtung war sehr gut und angenehm. Familiäre Stimmung gaben allem das gewisse etwas. Das Bett war richtig bequem und ich leide momentan an Rückenschmerzen, aber nach der Nacht, waren sie nahezu verflogen!!! Vielen Dank für die angenehme Erhohlung!

Romantisk landeligt hygge.

Vi kan varmt anbefalede dette hotel, så længe at man tager det som det er.. Det er ikke luksus, men der er pænt rent, i møde kommende mennesker, kanon service og meget hyggelig beliggenhed, med skov og sø.

Exellent countryside hotel

We were attracted to this hotel as a result of a glowing previous review by a Hotels.com client. We were not disappointed. Fortunately, we had a Sat-Nav guide us to the hotel which is located off the main road in a quiet, rural setting. Our room was comfortable, if a bit overcrowded with furniture. The owners of the hoyel were extremely friendly and welcoming. We ate that evening in the hotel and were provided with an excellent, typically german meal. All in all a very good establishment to overnight, especially if are travelling further the next day.

peaceful, but a little underwhelming

The owner was very chatty and helpful, and made a lovely breakfast. I couldn't help thinking that the room was too cramped and cheaply built for modern standards, especially for the money. For a quick overnight stay it was acceptable, but there are better options nearby. The worst bit was, having arrived at 2200, feeling under pressure to have an early breakfast (we finally negotiated 0800), and then sort of being pushed out straight afterwards (we managed to beg a half hour to have a short walk around the village, and were gone by 0900). It was a bit 1970s English B & B.

Would never stay there!!

This "hotel" is merely the upstairs bedroom of some guys house. And because it was so hot there at the time, the temperature was unbearable! We had to climb many sets of awkward stairs, through his house to get to the room, which by the way, was last furnished in 1982! Would never, ever stay there. We actually left the same day and found an actual hotel.

This place is off the beaten track but that's exactly what we wanted the cabin was large and in a beautiful part of country Germany. The staff were very friendly and helpful and tried very hard to speak english would recommend this place as a out of the way stop over
