My husband and I stayed 6 nights in this hotel and we were very happy as everything was as we wished (very spacious bedroom, nice and well equipped kitchenette, excellent view on the side of the canal, very quiet environment). The hotel is close to all transportation means. In addition, we could check-in earlier for a fee because we travelled all night, coming from Canada. Arun, the receptionist, did his best to accommodate us quickly. The hotel does not have an A/C system, but in May, the temperature in Vienna was between 16 and 20° and we did not need it; we simply opened the window. A grocery store from the well known supermarket network Billa is close and we practically, bought there everything we wanted for the breakfast, according to our diet but other people were taking advantage of the breakfast offered by the hotel. Definitely, we recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Wien for five nights while attending a conference in Vienna. The hotel’s main strengths are its excellent location and cleanliness. It is very well situated for both business and sightseeing, and the property is generally well maintained. My room was fine, although I had specifically booked a king bed and was assigned a twin room instead. The beds were also not particularly comfortable. They felt small and somewhat old-fashioned, with spring mattresses that reminded me of older hotels rather than what I would expect from a modern five-star property. The breakfast was decent, with a reasonable variety of options, but the quality and flavor were average. It was perfectly acceptable, but not at the level I would associate with a top-tier luxury hotel. The biggest issue by far was the air conditioning. During my stay, Vienna experienced unusually warm weather for May, and the AC was not working properly for the first few days. Sleeping was genuinely uncomfortable, and I was told that the issue affected much of the hotel. Towards the end of my stay, the system seemed to improve somewhat, but it still felt like it was operating at half capacity and never cooled the room adequately. If the air conditioning had worked properly, this would have been a perfectly acceptable hotel for a business trip. As it stands, I would describe it as a clean, well-located place to sleep, rather than a hotel to enjoy for its facilities or overall guest experience.

The property was in a very good location and the staff was extremely helpful. Any needs I had they were there to help out. Very Impressed

We were given free upgrade to a premium room, which gave us plenty of space, with a shower and bath option. The room was at the rear of the hotel but as it was a pedestrianised area, there was no noise at night. The air con kept us comfortable in the heatwave. Breakfast was plentiful, with various breads, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, hot foods, omelette cooked to order and more. Location was perfect as within a few minutes walk of many of the major landmarks in the Innere Stadt area, and 15 mins walk from the railway station for the airport. Could leave our cases at hotel after checking out so as to enjoy last few hours in Vienna. Thoroughly recommend hotel
