The hotel needed some work on the outside. The inside had been refurbished for the upcoming Fifa games. The room was cozy and bright with the most comfortable bed my husband & I have ever slept in. The room was very clean, but modest. We also had a view of the Vancouver skyline from our 3rd floor window. Hondra, the manager, was very gracious and helpful upon our arrival and throughout our 4 day stay. She was very available, though not always onsite. We had privacy and quiet.
The hotel is located in the Vancouver suburb of Collingswood. It has a lowkey vibe which was wonderful to return to after a busy day in the dynamic high energy city.
If you are looking for a good budget hotel this is the one.

Very well equipped studio apartment close to skytrain station (Stadium-Chinatown, about 10 min walk) and many restaurants. Can strongly recommend Fiorino Italian Street food!!
Supermarkets (T and T, Nesters) also about a 10 minute walk.
Staff were very responsive and helpful.
Downsides - the studio is a bit tight for space eg you have to crawl into bed from the foot end, but to be fair, the room photos showed this. Also, as others have mentioned, a degree of homelessless in the adjacent areas but we never felt unsafe.
