"This property is not fit for occupancy. There are multiple trip hazards, fire hazards, and personal injury issues with this facility. Luckily the owner will have likely addressed and remediated these issues for you to see the true beauty and spectacular views in the area. Some of the most beautiful views in New Mexico are in this area. Bring multiple cameras and take photos that are truly capable of filling any decor, rough and rugged, or very eclectic. "The property was clean and large. It was very close to the city center. There is no parking. We were able to park in the city lot for free since we have a handicap sticker. The owner says you can park at the church nearby but it appeared to have gates installed to prevent that. The apartment is large but is up 14 steps to the second floor. In addition there are multiple levels and steps inside the apartment. There is a smart TV and good internet in the apartment. The kitchen had a outlet that...

Our hosts were very communicative and helpful with anything we needed, which was very much appreciated. We will definitely look to stay here again next time we roll through Taos."

Top Embudo Hotel Reviews

The Abiquiu Inn

8/10 Good

"Really the only place to stay but the hotel is nice and doesn’t have your eye teeth out as a result. Restaurant is very nice and is well priced and very good. The Chilli Relano was very good. The only problem was the car park, it’s badly lit and with the recent rain was impossible to navigate at night. We ended up taking the car from the room to the restaurant!"

Hotel La Fonda Taos

10/10 Excellent

"Staying at La Fonda was a fun and wonderful experience! We stayed in the penthouse, which was really nice and full of character. The living room is sunken, so there are about three steps wherever you go. The hotel is filled with beautiful, eclectic art and charming little doors everywhere. A really unique feature was the window in the living room floor hidden under the rug, which looks straight down into the lobby! The fireplace also added a great ambiance to the room, and we got to see the "special art" as well. The staff was incredibly friendly and the entire hotel was very clean. The only downside was the outdoor area, which was in need of repair and did not look completely safe. It would have been great if that had been a usable space, but it was fine because everything else was absolutely wonderful."

El Pueblo Lodge

8/10 Good

"The hotel has some interesting character and history, breakfast was good and the room seemed clean. Unfortunately, the sheets were dingy yellow and just didn't smell clean. We arrived late so we really didn't have a choice but to stay there. We have been looking for a different place to stay in Taos from our usual since we are getting bored with the breakfast but, due to the sheets, this won't be the place."

Luxx Motor Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"This place was perfect for our one-night stay. Rooms were recently renovated, clean and tastefully designed. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The hot tub was great with a nighttime view of the stars and there was also a sauna. We didn't bring our dog this time but some rooms had patios designed with pets in mind which would have been very nice. We enjoyed dinner and live entertainment at the Sagebrush Inn down the street and then brought our leftovers back to our room to reheat for breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay at Luxx Motor Lodge again."
