We really enjoyed celebrating my wife's birthday weekend, the treehouse is very well done. I'm sure we will be back. There is also plenty of great hiking, shopping and eating placed very close by.
The Treehouse was perfect for the two of us !! It's nestled in the trees with a beautiful majestic view. It felt cozy and inviting and provided just the relaxation we needed. We absolutely loved it !
The treehouse is a great way to spend a very relaxing weekend. The views are spectacular and being in nature is fabulous. The treehouse has cute decor and is very cozy! I love the wood and outdoorsy feel! We will be back for sure! Carl & Brooke
The price on the listing was incorrect when you add in the "Host Fee of $250! The location was close to town and loved the house and hot tub! Total privacy in the trees for sure as the driveway is quite steep and a bit scary but well worth it! The driveway is concrete just super steep, use a 4 wheel drive.
My husband and I booked this rental for our 15 year anniversary. We are from Florida and don’t get to venture north much. It was important for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy a change of scenery. This was the answer.
We were blown away with the property and the views. The smell of cedar in the air really allows you to hone in on your home away from home. The location of the treehouse in proximity to town is unheard of for the secludedness of the treehouse. Driveway is steep, but Camry did just fine. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Not a fan of the driveway, we did lock in 4 WD to get up the drive the sharp right turn at the top of the drive was unexpected the turn around space was small and had to make several forward and backwards motion to get my husband 1200 Ram turned around to exit. The ac in the bedroom was a stand up unit and very loud had to turn it off to sleep. Ellijay is a precious town great places to eat and shop. Ate at the Butcher and Bottle restaurant for our anniversary dinner and it was spot on !!! I did read several comments in the guest book and couples said good things about the Treehouse and there were good and not so good for us. People are different and like different things.
Needs some improvement on A/c system but did ok drive is steep but able to get up it hot tub was strong with bleach are chlorine but over all nice little cabin it was peaceful
We had such a great trip! The "treehouse" was perfect. It was equipped with everything we could have possible needed. Soaking in the hot tub at the end of the day was so relaxing, and the view from the back porch was amazing. We were close to so many fun things to do, and great places to eat. The place was so clean. We had the best time, and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Elijay area!
Jim and Mary Jo were awesome! They truly made you feel at home. Great host and beautiful home. We had a great experience and made lots of memories. Can’t wait to come back.

We loved the treehouse! Very quaint and beautiful! Only two things I would note... only heat was small space heaters, so for someone who gets very cold, I was quite chilly! Also, there wasn't a sponge or anything to wash dishes with, so it was hard to get our dishes clean. Very small things to mention that didn't effect our stay, I just wanted to note. :)
Great time!!! YES...you are up in the trees and it is an awesome experience! The revew is correct that the incline is about 45 to 60 degrees to get to the peoperty. I made with no problems in a small 4 cylinder car. The driveway is rough and not smooth so that made for good traction.
The house was beautiful. We had quite a time navigating the driveway and turning around with our 4 door F150 but managed to do so. The first night temperatures dropped to the 30s and the only working heat was a small electric fireplace which didn’t heat the house very well. I called and emailed that evening but didn’t get a response until around 10 the next morning. When I spoken with the owner they were dealing with the aftermath of a hurricane so we decided to leave and get a hotel for the remainder of our stay. I currently waiting to hear if we will get a partial refund for the nights we were not able to stay.
Hit the nail on the head with the treehouse feel. It was cozy secluded. The bed was SO comfortable. The driveway wasn’t hard to get up at all — and we drive a Toyota Corolla. The cabin was also in the perfect spot as it was about 5 minutes from the highway and maybe 7-10 minutes from downtown Elijay. The only downsides would be that the hot tub wasn’t clean and made weird noises. We actually got out at one point because we thought it was going to fall through. I think it may have been the motor or pipes making the noise. The listing also mentions the river and kayaking, but we didn’t really find it and thought it would be weird to walk in someone’s backyard when we weren’t even sure if we were going the right way. The second swing on the porch also wasn’t installed. There is a nail at the bottom of the steps that is also poking out, so that should probably be fixed. Finally, there was no hamper to put the towels in when we were leaving so the check-out instructions weren’t totally accurate. Otherwise, the actual cabin and comfort of it was amazing. Definitely a fun experience and trip.

First I have experience driving in the north Georgia mountains. Used to live in north Georgia. Felt there were a couple of things that people should be aware of. They mention that the driveway is steep, After I received my check in info. they highly recommended getting there before dark because it isn't lit well (actually it's not lit at all). I told them that I may be getting there after dark. They said it wouldn't be a problem if I was familiar with driving in the mountains. I disagree. So if you're not, beware. Fortunately I arrived before dark. The driveway is VERY steep, narrow, and winding. There is very little room to turn around and it's difficult (I would not attempt to back down - too dangerous). If you have more than one vehicle it's going to be difficult to get out. I have a four wheel drive, would not recommend trying it in a two wheel vehicle unless you are very familiar and experienced with these types of roads. Definitely wouldn't risk it in the winter. The iving space is pretty small (pictures make it look much bigger than it is) and the furniture is the size of kids furniture. I could not sit comfortably on the furniture. Couldn't believe how small the furniture was. Oh, and the fireplace is a small electric fireplace - Don't believe that's mentioned on their webpage. Also, have to keep all trash inside or haul it off - and they only provide 1 small trash bag. Several things they tell you in the checkin info that isn't mentioned on the webpage.
An amazingly cute little getaway hidden in the hills of Ellijay, GA.
Our overall experience was an absolute win! I'd say the steep driveway definitely requires 4 wheel drive. I tried doing it with my truck in 2 wheel mode but the tires could not get enough grip that way. The TV remotes weren't working for the living room TV but the bedloft TV remotes were working fine. The view from the cabin was great but also kind of obstructed by all the trees around which could be understandably the vibe of the "treehouse". Another thing I'd say as a personal preference is that the overhead tree cover kind of blocks 98% of any stars you'd want to see at night. Aside from our personal preferences, this little treehouse cabin was pretty dang awesome and we'll almost certainly be coming back in the future. Ellijay, is an adorable little town and the surrounding mountain views are astounding.
The house was very beautifully decorated, and stocked with essentials. The husband and I enjoyed our anniversary in a nice area that offered nice mountain and pasture views. The sounds of birds around us, and watching the squirrels in the trees was cool. The location was secluded and private. However, the homes is close to Blue Ridge and Elijay so we were able to do some sightseeing, and access some local shops and restaurants. The driveway is very steep which was mentioned in the add, and it is also recommended to come during while it is still daylight out. We were running behind, and called the property manager to let her know we would arrive after dark, and she was very polite and provided details about navigating to the property. We did drive up in my jeep, so there were no issues getting up the drive, but could be a little difficult for lower profile vehicles. Overall, it was a nice weekend.

Beautiful getaway!!
Everything!! Thank you for a lovely stay!!!
Will be back!!
Nothing perfect as is!!
We loved this cozy rustic cabin and spending our evenings in the hot tub enjoying the stillness and the twinkling starlight on the trees! Hope to be able to stay again soon!
Had a wonderful time enjoying the tree house. Amenities were very nice and well maintained. Hot tub was clean and the views during sunrise and sunset were great. Proximity to Ellijay was a plus; 4 minutes from downtown but still secluded. Would definitely stay again.
We so very much enjoyed our tree house getaway. It’s secluded and very private. The cabin was just the perfect size and was very comfortable for two people. We found the driveway very challenging in our car, since we don’t own a truck or suv…. Coming and going was the most stressful part of the trip. Communication with prop mgr was excellent and she was very accommodating to our needs. One issue was the description on the website listed the property as having a washer-dryer….it doesn’t. Hopefully that will be changed. Though we loved our stay, unless we have a truck/suv.. we probably would not return to this particular cabin. However, if you are looking for a romantic getaway… this is it!
