The Captain's Suite is one of four guests apartments in the Main Street Station, designed to complement beloved historic structures of Eastsound. This is our premium unit, one bedroom with a queen bed, pull-out sofa, fully equipped compact kitchen, barbeque, porch just steps from the water, and nearby stairs to the gorgeous rocky beach. 500 square feet architecturally crafted with attention to every detail, and all new furnishings in coastal, organic style we call 'beachy elegance.' The rooms highlight natural textures and products from local artisans. This unit is on the main floor for easy access, and includes a washer and dryer for your personal use. In Eastsound Village you will find all you need -- the farmer's market, bookstore, kayak rentals, bicycles, grocery, natural foods, boutiques, gift shops, and more. In fact, you don't even have to bring a car! Skip the ferry lines and pack light, take a shuttle or taxi to Eastsound, and the rest of your trip is easy. Feel free to ask us for any other special details you may desire for your get-away. Simply the perfect spot for your Orcas Island adventure! We enjoyed how close the property was to everything. We ended up walking most of the weekend. Only negative was that the upstairs was fairly loud so we could hear people walking above us during the night. Besides that no issues.

Great Central Apartment With Ocean View

We were a family of 4 and we felt very comfortable. There is an ocean view, fire-place, central heating / cooling and the apartment is exactly as it looks in the website photos. The restaurant next door is excellent and the proximity is not a problem. They leave you the key in a black box and you have to remember the code from the email they sent you. Luckily Susan, owns a real-estate office close by. The only thing is that the price is more then a 5 star hotel in any major city.

Loved the condo and back patio; a little on the noisy side though.

We had a great stay. The rental was easy, the condo was clean, well stocked and close to everything. Sometimes in fact, too close. The condo is right next to a restaurant and it can get quite noisy at times. We were having warm weather while we were there so all the windows and doors of the restaurant dining room and kitchen were open, as was also the case in our condo. Whether out on the back patio or in the condo, you could hear the patron's table conversations and the kitchen bell going off every time an order was up. It was not necessarily a terrible distraction, nor is the intent of this post to be critical, but I thought it would be worth noting there is a lot of hustle and bustle going on due to the close proximity of the restaurant and this may not be a preferred location for those looking for peace and quiet. After hearing all the fun everyone seemed to be having at the restaurant, we decided to join in and have lunch there and had a great meal. I can't say enough though how much we loved the back patio for eagle watching, fish jumping, the changing tide and simply gorgeous scenery.

We had a wonderful stay in the Captain's Suite! What a special little spot. The hosts have included everything needed for a lovely get away, I wish we'd stayed more than one night. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine on the lovely patio with beautiful views of the water. Do not miss out on the bakery across the street - it is outstanding. The description does not mention that the bathroom does have a larger than normal tub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of adventures.

Plenty of room, & the view is amazing!

We had a fantastic weekend in this space. The building is right next to the stairs that take you to the beach when the tide is out. We spent a lot of time in the big Adirondack chairs on the patio. Conveniently, the fencing around the patio was secure enough that our little 8-lb dog could not escape. The bathroom was surprisingly large, & as a person who runs cold often, I appreciated the wall heater, so I didn’t shiver in the shower. The bathtub was deep enough that I ran next door to the botanicals shop & got a bath bombThe one bummer about this space was the ant invasion we had to contend with all weekend. Not out of the ordinary for the PNW, but it made it pretty impossible to roll out my mat to do some movement without ants crawling onto my mat. We found a broom to sweep the ants up, but could not find a dust pan, so I just swept them out the front door as best I could.Other than the constant ants, this place was stellar!

A lovely little space with a lovely view. Super clean and thoughtfully hosted. We didn’t realize the neighbouring building is a restaurant with the back kitchen door opening almost directly across from the suite: the restaurants door was open later into the evening/night and was quite a bit noisier than I was expecting. The hosts do supply a white noise machine in the bedroom.

I booked this place for my parents and I, and they loved it. The views were amazing, and the location could not be beat. Only downside was the sleeping situation. The pull out bed had a very thin mattress that sagged in the middle. The queen bed wasn't much better and was also well worn.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the “Captain’s Suite”! We loved the location and water views, so easy to explore lovely Eastsound and it’s wonderful shops and restaurants. The owners supplied every necessary amenity, the condo was spotless and super comfy! Would highly recommend!

Perfect retreat

This is a wonderful place to stay in every way. Located near Darvill’s bookstore, Brown Bear Bakery and easy walking to the park, shops, restaurants. The room has a beautiful intimate terrace with a lovely water view. There are steps down to the beach. Great kitchen and bath. Stay here for a lovely trip. Enjoy!
