The COVID-19 outbreak has changed how the world works in many ways, including how we can travel safely. The following tips will help you navigate these new challenges and get you ready for your trip to East Tyrol:

• Before booking your flight, see if any travel bans or restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Get the latest updates by checking government travel advisories.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID verification when asked.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it directly on the reader yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• To minimize handling during screening, put items such as your phone, wallet and keys into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• If you're bringing food through security screening, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
