「Loved our stay at the farmhouse! We had more than enough dishes and cookware for our stay. The beds were so comfortable. We were all fast asleep as soon as we hit the pillows. It was nice to be back in a farmhouse and you can see they took care to show the history and labor of love the home was. There were little things here and there that reminded me of my grandparents farmhouse and it was nice to reminisce.」

「We have stayed at the Elkader Jail House many times and the Harstad Suite is a great room for the 4 of us. The large kitchen and family space on the first floor provide plenty of space for everyone to get together and relax. Its nearby my family and takes the stress off anyone needing to make space for all of us to sleep. Its comfortable, clean and an easy to walk downtown. We'll be back soon!」

「Highly recommend this property! Owner is very accommodating and responsive. Unit is very, very clean, well organized, and well stocked, even including a cooler bag and outdoor chairs. Beds are very comfortable. Towels and linens are nice. Location is in the heart of downtown with easy walk to dining and nightlife. Beautiful view of basilica spires. Would stay here again. Of note: We were a little concerned when we saw the steep stairs on the outside, but rest assured- that is just a fire...
