This is the ultimate gem of the Westfjords!!! and pretty much the main reason I went into the Westfjords (being a waterfall fanatic). The roads in the Westfjords are not for the faint hearted, and I was pretty stressed driving here... But once I arrived it was all worth it! AMAZING!!! Possibly the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland, but that's a tall order as they are all so beautiful and unique in there own way.
The hike (#hiking) up to it isn't too bad, but a lot maybe 20min each way, more if you take a million pictures like I do. There are numerous smaller waterfalls on your way up, all with names, to check out and photograph. Be careful because it's spray is very strong (I had to wipe my camera lens after every picture), so the ground is pretty muddy and slippery.

Dynjandi waterfalls are a magnificent sight and is the most commonly visited place for tourists visiting Iceland. This view of the Atlantic ocean opposite to the waterfalls is just as serene as the waterfalls itself.
