Excellence Oyster Bay - Adults Only All Inclusive

"I recently stayed at Oyster Excellence and overall had a great experience. The property was very clean, the food was good, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I did have an issue with my key card during my stay, but the hotel staff handled it quickly and got it resolved. The only other issue was that my sink was leaking and flooding a bit in the room. Aside from that, everything else was great and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely consider staying again."

"The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The only thing that I would say that the hotel can improve on is having a better beach for non-privilege guests. What I noticed is that the beach for non-privileged guests has many rocks and sharp shells and things like that that make it difficult to the beach and just walk straight into the beach, but if you take a look at the privileged guest beach, it’s very clean and clear and they’re easily able to access the beach. They need to do a better job of making sure that non-privileged guests have access to a beach that is of similar quality as the privilege guests. Apart from that this hotel was amazing. Would 10 out of 10 visit again"

"Here’s a cleaner and more polished version of your review while still keeping your honest opinion and personal tone: I want to believe this hotel is still somewhat new and they haven’t fully gotten everything together as yet, so I’ll give them some grace. First of all, check-in takes a very long time. Also, be mindful about the bedding situation. Even if you request a king bed on the website, you may only get whatever is available when you check in. The hotel also doesn’t seem designed for rainy days, so keep that in mind if you’re booking during the rainy season. As for the drinks, to really enjoy them you need to purchase the Privilege Package or higher. The regular all-inclusive package only includes house drinks, which honestly makes the experience feel limited. The resort is also kind of boring during the daytime because the entertainment is not very well organized. Housekeeping still needs improvement as well. However, there are a few things I really enjoyed. The coffee shop is nice, some of the food is great — especially the hibachi and several options in the buffet — and I loved the little ice cream bar. There are a lot of trolley cars around the property, but I’m not sure what their purpose is because no one ever offers guests rides, even though I saw some guests using them. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Jamaica where the staff regularly offered trolley rides around the resort. They just need more experienced personnel to truly give guests that authentic Jam"

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"I stayed at Jiao Iberostar for a week to celebrate my sister's birthday during our first trip to Jamaica. The location itself is beautiful .The pools, beach, and variety of activities on the resort kept us entertained throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the staff, especially some of the female staff members. We experienced rude behavior and felt racially profiled during our stay. It was very noticeable that white guests were treated with more respect, received quicker service, and were given far more attention than we were. What made this even more disappointing is that I have previously stayed at Iberostar in Mexico, where the experience was absolutely breathtaking. The staff there treated us like queens everyone was friendly, kind, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond. Because of that experience, I expected the same level of hospitality in Jamaica, which is why I chose this resort in the first place. It's truly a shame to feel racially profiled by our own people while trying to enjoy a special family vacation. During checkout, a member of the guest services team asked us to leave a review of the property, and we agreed. She then asked to see my phone so she could show me where to leave the review, but instead she began writing a 5-star review herself. She said, “I want to make sure you review us.” That’s when I told her our stay had not been great at all. That made me question how many of the 5-star reviews were writen by staff"
