Watch massive ships salute the Lift Bridge as they glide through the harbor, or embrace the occasional “Bridged” moments—lasting 5 to 25 minutes—when the bridge rises for passing vessels, offering front-row seats to the rhythm of Park Point life.
Just across the street lies the best public beach access on Park Point, with seven miles of white sand beach beckoning for exploration, alongside a playground and picnic area for family-friendly fun. The updated bathroom, complete with heated floors and a spacious walk-in shower, ensures modern comfort after a day at the beach. This is a very cute property, nice bathrooms and kitchen but could use some attention to details and the train car portion is very musty smelling. The mattresses are comfortable, the bedding and pillows are nice. There is limited seating in the living area so we gathered at the kitchen table.
It was the perfect size for the four of us to have a couple days away together. My teenagers thought the bunk beds were very comfortable and they appreciated the reading lights and plugs next to their beds!
It is such a quaint place. It has a great location to get to all the great Duluth hot spots! We cooked most our meals and the kitchen was so well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay.
We spent the week enjoying Duluth! This was the perfect distance to everything!

Our family loved visiting the "Train House," as our 4 yr old called it. Such a sweet little gem in a really neat city. Could add a few toys for the kiddos who visit, but all in all, a great stay. Thank you!
Amazing location, perfect set up for our mix of family coming together. Great kitchen set up, nice bath/shower/products/and so many towels! Comfy beds, ample bedding. It was just what we needed. And clean...YAY!!!
It is a lovely spot on park point where you can walk across the bridge to Canal Park and very close to Park Point beach. It’s very charming with surprisingly more room than you think. We loved our comfortable stay at such a one of a kind place and highly recommend it for those visiting the Duluth area!
This is an awesome house and a great place to stay in Nisswa. It’s got plenty of space. It’s clean and well maintained. Our favorite was the game room with darts and a pool table and more.
Celebrated my wife’s 40th Birthday on this stay. The train car was clean and very cool for the kids. Everyone had a great time! Would highly recommend to all.
Super fun to be right by the working harbor and the beach! Relatively low scent environment if you byo soaps. Loved the Murphy bed! Super convenient location for all our trip goals. Very functional kitchen!! A+ all around.
Excellent location just across the street from Public Beach access. Clean house with great bunk beds for kids in their own bedroom. Kids enjoyed the train theme of the main section of house. Easy 10 min walk into Canal District or an easy 2 min drive. Could benefit from some landscaping and general weed control in the backyard as well as a water spigot out back to wash off sand. Overall it was an excellent stay and we’d definitely come back again.
Great location across the street from the beach. Coast Guard played Reveille in the morning 8am, Taps in the evening 9pm for flag hoisting and lowering. Comfortable bed, sunny nook in Master Bedroom. Mostly a quiet location. Sunny Patio. Great walks on the beach, along the road in Park Point, on the boardwalk in Canal Park. Bring your own beach chairs and blankets. Loud horn blasts now and then from the Aerial Lift Bridge, fun visit to Maritime Museum. Duluth Rose Garden, Enger Park. Great Co-op at Denfeld.
We loved your train cart retreat…. That we could walk to the beach and canal park.. I recently retired and this was one of our stops on our adventure.. it was a first to Minnesota, Lake Superior, to ever stay in a train cart and to ever use Vrbo…. ALL a wonderful experience 😊
Location of the property was great, close to canal park and right across the street from beach access. The downfalls- upstairs master bedroom is really bright in the morning if you are sensitive to light when sleeping. There was also no central AC in the cabin and we were there over a couple really hot days. Just a window cooling unit in master bedroom upstairs.
The property was cute inside but not comfortable for us. The seating in the main area was not comfortable for older people and not safe for crawlers in the winter as the heat register got very hot. Good location to parks if you stay in the summer. Beds were comfortable. Place was clean. We left a day early because it just wasn’t a great place to relax for us.
The second bathroom was incredibly small
Overall, I liked this location and would stay again. The beds were comfortable and general cleanliness was great and the kitchen well equipped—the one hiccup was that the cleaners had overlooked changing sheets on one of the bunk beds. The place had a washer and dryer with detergent supplied, so taking care of that was pretty easy, and otherwise everything was great so I think that was a fluke. I also appreciated that the host did not expect us to do a ton of cleaning before we left like another place we stayed. Overall an easy and pleasant experience and driving over the lift bridge was really fun! Location is very accessible to the beach of Superior and to Canal Park 😁
