The hotel is perfectly placed for Driffield, right on the high street and an easy walk to the train station. The staff are great and very friendly, spot on full English breakfast. Although the hotel is a little dated it still has its charm and very clean.

Great for a weekend away

Great location in the centre of the town. The room was spacious but dated. It was clean though. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment about that. We did visit the spa and had a lovely afternoon enjoying the facilities.

Good Old World Feel.

Generally the accommodation is functional. The bathroom extractor fan noise from other rooms was intrusive.The bed was very comfortable and large. The main building is 280 years old and I assume listed. It is quaint and interesting and understandably creeky.

The hotel itself is fascinating. An old place with many interesting features. The people in charge are very nice. We didn't eat there but saw some of the food and it looked good. The room we had overlooked the street which was quite noisy at night but got less noisy after midnight. The room itself was very old fashioned and tired. Clean and functional but tired.

We stayed here for 2 nights, its in desperate need of a refurb, the whole hotel smelt damp and musty and so did our clothes when we got home.. certainly wont be stopping again!

This is a quirky relic of a hotel, a few hundred years old and worth staying just for the experience. But dont stay here if your after something modern. the car park is also very tight, not helped by inconsiderate or poor drivers who cant park within lines but I was told there was another free to use car park a short walk down the road that hotel guests can use when the main car park is full.

Chose this hotel, because of the pool and spa which turned out to be nothing like the pictures. The staff are friendly, but the natives are not, it reminded me of the dartboard scene in American werewolf. Old Hotel, which has its charm, with creaky floorboards to keep you up at night as well as the paper, thin walls, put a jumper on for breakfast if you're going in the winter

Dated Hotel in need of TLC

Sorry but not my type of hotel. Your staff were all amazing , however the rooms are very dated and need a real makeover especially the bathroom. No evening meal available but a choice of local eateries given and offer of plate and utensils if you bought a carry out . Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Leisure was okay with friendly attendant . Car parking is limited and tight !!!!.
