"Poor value for money There are way better places in Douro Valley at a lower price point. Even after being open more than a year it feels like it still has teething problems. Staff is not trained properly. Very slow service; music playing outside our room from the pool at night; sloppy turndown service (they left the ironing board in the room despite promising to take it away); they put our bags in the wrong room; cigarette burns in the patio furniture; one analogue key instead of digital means one person is always without a key (and by the way, the door doesn’t automatically lock when closed so you have to manually lock your door at night). On the plus side, the view is stunning; the pool wonderful; the restaurant is excellent and the rooms are very clean and comfortable "
