Definitely a nice place to stay. They are not big on checking in early. I visited in mid-July. Even when I returned to check in after, I had to wait and was given a room next to the elevator which is not ideal since it gets loud. Room was very clean and comfortable with black out curtains. No view. Same for my friend who stayed on a different floor - same room, different side, no view but nice room. Staff were on and off. Some friendly, some awkward. I really liked the location. I don’t like to stay in central areas. I prefer off center in clean and less touristy but nice more local neighborhoods. Lovely neighborhood. Ubers and taxis did take a while the 3x I tried during the weekend.

This is not a true B&B. They have very limited facilities on site and do not keep their desk open for extended hours. It is a converted house, each floor is like a private suite. There are limited amenities in the suite too. Bring your own soaps/shampoos and be sure to ask for extra towels! It's in a very convenient location and is clean enough.

Staff was amazing, only one (minor) complaint. The lighting in the room as well as the elevator was very dark. I needed to use my iPhone flashlight :-)

We had such a wonderful stay that we even decided to extend it. The hotel is peaceful, very comfortable, and the atmosphere is so friendly it felt like home. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Everything was delicious, especially the tomato tartare. Breakfast was also over the top, absolutely yummy! When we were looking to book, we noticed the hotel was a bit outside the city, but once we got there we realized it was an easy 10-15 min uber ride into the busy city center. Honestly, that was a big part of the charm. The peace and quiet, plus the amazing water view, made it totally worth it. It’s the kind of place where you just slow down, relax, and really enjoy. We’ll definitely be back!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, which made my stay feel extra special. The cocktails were of a high standard, and the breakfast offered a lovely selection to start the day. Located about a 15-minute walk from the main attractions, it’s perfectly positioned — close enough to explore the city with ease, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet away from the crowds. Our suite facilities were excellent, featuring a luxurious double shower and a huge bath — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Amsterdam. I highly recommend The Toren Hotel for anyone looking for comfort, style, and outstanding service at a great rate.
