For watersport enthusiasts, head to the market town of Bala (13mi) home to the National White Water Rafting Centre and Wales' biggest lake, Llyn Tegid - perfect for fishing, canoeing, kayaking or sailing. After a day of action-packed adventures, sample the wonderful eateries such as Yr Unicorn (6mi) or Cross Foxes (6mi) and browse the local stores.
