Very cute hotel, perfectly located near cafes, shopping and dining options. Each room is unique and lovely, which I prefer to the industrial hotels with identical rooms.

Accommodation was fine. Lovely little pub 5 min walk from property. Only problem was getting the key from reception as they said didn't seem to know we were arriving. They also couldn't find the key after speaking to the owner, eventually gave me the spare key but it was a bit stressful at the time. ...

Smelled like somone was smoking inside just before we got there. Blankets had obvious stains on them. Double bed was 2 nylon covered mattresses pushed together. Made for a very uncomfortable night.

I really like Dokkum. It's a hidden gem with lots of biking and walking trails through the countryside. Beware the harsh sea wind in the winter, though! It will break your umbrella. The town Dickensian Christmas Festival (with costumers!) is a treat
