"We were welcomed when we arrived early. The hotel stored our bags until we could check in. Staff speak very good English and were most kind to us, an older American couple. The room was very comfortable and the staff accommodating. This is an excellent choice."

"The room showed quite a bit of wear and tear, with very dark smudges throughout the walls. When getting off the elevator, several floor tiles were chipped, and the carpet on the 5th floor was torn in places. Overall, the property appears to be in need of some updating and refreshing. Dinner at the restaurant was somewhat expensive. The seafood was delicious; however, the pizza was not very good. The pool area was beautiful and very well maintained. Although swimming was not allowed during our stay, it was still a pleasant area to relax and enjoy. The evening staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience with the morning staff member was quite different. The younger woman with shoulder-length hair working the morning of May 20th was rude, seemed irritated by our questions, and was not helpful during checkout. Breakfast was enjoyable overall, although the eggs and breakfast meats were cold initially. Thankfully, the staff member working in the breakfast area kindly warmed them up for us."

"Breakfast had a variety of choices. Modern hotel, free water and free seltzer water. Rooms were excellent and big, very comfortable. 11 minutes walking distance from The Vatican, location is not ideal for the other major sites but there are buses available. Great price for this hotel."
Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport

"We recently stayed in a family room at this hotel and unfortunately found it very underwhelming, especially for the price and what you would expect from a Hilton property. The room setup was odd for a family. The “family room” consisted of one king bed and a pullout sofa bed that was extremely uncomfortable — honestly hard as a rock and not suitable for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom layout was also quite inconvenient. There was only a two-piece bathroom in the main area, while the full bathroom with the shower/tub was located off the primary bedroom. This meant anyone needing to shower or bathe had to walk through the bedroom, which was awkward and impractical for families . While the bathroom itself appeared generally clean, the shower stall had noticeable orange mould buildup and did not feel properly maintained. The only real positives were the proximity to the airport and the convenience of the shuttle service. However, there is essentially nothing else around the hotel in terms of restaurants, shops, or amenities."

"We enjoyed our stay here until the 2nd to last day of our 4-day reservation. The hotel had a power outage that impacted our ability to turn on water and flush the toilet. Power went out at 2am and at 10am we were told that they hoped it would be fixed by the next morning. We were allowed to check out early and refunded for 1 day, which we appreciated, however check out was at 11:00am and they refused to give us even an extra 30 minutes to pack up and leave. There was no emergency lighting in the hotel, including the stairwell which made carrying our luggage down 6 flights a bit treacherous. The staff did assist with carrying luggage and we appreciated their help."

"This is definitely a grande dame property, and the Aura was one of famous days gone by. My room was spacious with a super modern bathroom. The staff was very helpful with our luggage and some other questions we had. Dinner in the hotel was lovely with the view of the grassy courtyard. It was exciting to stay in a place with such musical history."
