"This particular Microtel was clean, comfortable, and convenient and the hotel staff was very friendly and accessible. We would stay here again when in the area. . Definitely recommend keeping the second lock on the door at all times because despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging on the knob, housekeeping let themselves in without knocking. Never had that happen before. "

"Fishing was great, sm mouth bass here with beautiful flat rocks that made it easy to get around. The surroundings were awsome with views of remnants of an old paper mill right across the river. You can watch tubers come down sacandaga river where it meets hudson river. When tide is low safe to swim definitely able to dip in pockest to get wet. Too cold still. House was perfect for long weekend. Lovely private backyard, easy walk down to river. Clean and comfortable beds homie decor.showers are nice and clean..wifi with Roku ready tv. Longhorn resturant was friendly with best burgers ever! Short easy distance to Lake George Village. Brought 2 small dogs that had a blast near river too with life jackets that had handles, did not swim only lightly dipped. Too cold.Overall had a great time Memorial weekend. Would defiantly stay again."

"The hospitality of the staff especially Ginny the owner of this fine establishment was very helpful and were great to chat with regarding the region of the Adirondacks. Let me not forget to mention the rooms are cozy, impeccable and lovely decorated by Ginny who is true artist. I do plan on visiting this area of the Adirondacks again and the Balsams will be base camp when exploring this beautiful area. "

"To say this stay was perfect would seem exaggerated to some but to me it seems it doesn’t to it justice! Choosing the cabin as a first time “off-grid” goer was a bit intimidating but with WiFi a few walks away and the views made me forget about that. The hot shower and the bathroom steps away was exceptional to offer on this type of getaway. To be in this privacy of a property with this type of view is something you don’t just get to experience so easily, I know this because I have been to many properties listed as such and this is by far the best. Right off my view from the bed from the cabin you see the lake view from sunrise to sunset and it’s enchanting. I will suggest to come equipped with battery operated lights ( I picked up simple two from Walmart that were portable) that helped ease any late night pee breaks. The outdoor patio area was great to accommodate our food, cooler and mini grill which we noticed the owner offered in the cabin! Town is not too far away if you are missing anything as well!! We came with just extra towel, the lights as mentioned and the mini blackstone from Walmart and the firewood they offered was everything we needed! One night we actually used their grill available to cook above the fire and that was awesome and would do that going forward. First timer campers to this and it’s really all easier than expected! The view of the water is spectacular! Bring paddler boards, kayaks or ask about using their canoe! The lake is great and clean!"
