"El hotel a pesar de que fue fundando en 1981 (Nos contó toda la historia el amigo Melvin del restaurante) se mantiene en muy buen estado. Paisajes increíbles, buena comida y excelente servicio. Yo en lo personal venía con mis padres cuando era niño y me trae muchos recuerdos. Vine a celebrar el cumple de mi esposa con mis padres mama y mi suegra. Si buscan un lugar para desconectar y relajarse, es el lugar ideal."

"Breakfast was adequate. This older hotel has only 16 rooms, two with balconies. We stayed two nights in the balcony suite with king bed and a lovely view of the garden and river. Note: first floor rooms will carry noise from guests above you. Best room is 208 or any of the smaller rooms on the second floor."

"The place is magical, right on the water, with a beautiful coral reef teeming with fish below for snorkeling. There's a small kayak for you to use; I used it to watch the sunset and it was beautiful. My wife loved this place. It's quiet, with a very peaceful vibe. It's about a 15-minute boat ride to get there. The owner, Philip, was very attentive and kind. This place definitely has a beautiful vibe; highly recommended."

"I've learned to be cynical about hotels, but Hotel Los Brezos was a very pleasant surprise. The room wasn't big, but very nice, with excellent maid service. The restaurant was great, and we're picky. We'll be back in Volcan, and we won't dare stay anywhere else."

"Villa Reef was absolutely amazing. They definitely care about their guests and it shows in all the touches in the villa. There is everything you could think of in the kitchen, the rooms were lovely but best of all was the location and view. We could snorkel, paddle board and kayak right off the dock. Amir, the concierge was amazing at helping out with whatever questions we had and arranged the 15 minute water taxis to and from town. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone. Absolutely wonderful stay! "

"Peeter was very easy to work with and we appreciated that greatly. The property is a bit off the main road on a rocky dirt road. Take it slow and follow the excellent directions and you’ll be fine. A higher clearance vehicle would be helpful, but a 4x4 is unnecessary. We came in at night and were able to find the property without difficulty. The house is newer and well-maintained with a master bed and two additional separate bedrooms. Kitchen has everything one could need. Power went out once for a short period; generator kicked right in and kept the lights on. Internet comes and goes, but when on it’s sufficient for TV and streaming. Coco is a small dog that loves to visit and enjoys dog biscuits. She was the icing on the cake for us. The nearby town of Volcan is very laid back. The people are friendly and many speak English. Finca Guardia has a wonderful horseback ride through the hills and valleys. The Janson’s offer a wonderful coffee farm tour and great shakes after. Both are well worth doing. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back. "
