"We loved staying here. The house was lovely and well equipped. However, the really big positives for us were the setting of the house and the helpfulness of the host. The house is set in a lovely green landscape with great views out in all directions. The garden was a brilliant size and the area for boules was amazing. "This review has nothing to do with the staff, but directed to the management. The streets around hotel were under construction at the time of our visit and I would have appreciated the heads up, so giving me an opportunity to stay or cancel. The access to the hotel was completely blocked which made it very difficult to find the hotel."

"I really don’t want to be negative about my stay at your hotel. Lovely location, nice well looked after buildings and brilliant for a 10 minute drive to the ferry at Ouistreham in the morning. But please get some staff! The service in the restaurant wasn’t brilliant and a few orders were forgotten, my main meal was ok, but arrived lukewarm warm, as if it had been prepared a while before it was delivered. Having just one member of staff, or might have been the owner, I don’t know, booking people in, sorting out payment, showing them to their rooms, serving coffee clearing glasses from the bar and garden, taking food orders, serving drinks and food all at the same time, on their own is the problem I think. Not the staff member. You know how many people will be staying with you, and when they are coming and who they are, so please invest in appropriate amount of staff to aid your customers experience. I would happily stay there again. Please take this review as constructive and not destructive, as it is a lovely hotel, and I did overal enjoy my visit their."

"Currently very dirty. I felt so sorry for the cleaners I made sure to leave a 5 Euro per day tip for their hard work but even the best cleaners could not keep up with the dirt around this property currently. There is messy reconstruction of the onsite pool, a big port construction project right across the street and a total remodel of a big hotel next door. Plus sand from the beach blows in and people do not clean up after their dogs on the sidewalk to the beach. Yuck. Many dogs in hotel shed hair that gets on your clothes. Parents hold infants in dirty clothes over the food in the breakfast room while filling their plates. No screens on windows."
