「The hotel room was very clean and updated furniture. I was happy I found this place a good price for this place」

「This is a very clean and comfortable place at a great price point. The best thing is the really sweet couple running the place. It's an old property but for the price it is safe, clean and what you need for a couple good nights of sleep. I came here for a marathon in Shiner so it was a good location. It's near HEB and a few interesting towns like Luling and Gonzalez on the fringe of hill country. 」

「I have stayed at the property before. It seems like they just do not clean very well. There was only 1 coffee pack and it was decaf. The property needs to be repaired in many areas. A/C cooled, but cycled off often, making the room uncomfortable during the night. No hot water in the shower.」

「Nice peaceful cabin just off a busy highway, i really didn't notice the traffic. The cabin and bathroom was clean and the bed is comfortable. 」

「Absolutely amazing. The host is out of this world and the most down to earth people you’ll ever meet. The property is super cute and full of farm animals. The sleeping quarters were excellent. The outdoor shower is a neat bonus. We will definitely be back next time we visit the shiner area.Cheers」

「Wonderful little one bedroom casita. The outside deck was a nice space to relax and enjoy the Texas evening. The bed is hands down the most comfortable I've ever slept in! Kitchen is nicely appointed and the casita has a great location. Nice little coffee shop right down the block. We hope to return again!」

「This was a beautiful and quiet location. There was plenty of room for my party to enjoy time together. The only thing that could have been better was the beds. The mattresses were too firm for my liking but everything else was great.」

「Great place. Very comfortable and easy to walk to town. Since my last visit they have added a nice sitting area outside and the back yard for pets is big plus.」

「We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest.」
