「Beautiful, historic area with colonial history. The town is poor and you will see poverty and disrepair, but you’ll also meet very nice locals. The immense lake in town is rather dirty, but there’s an interesting basalt rock waterfall nearby, too. Nice tourist shopping in the square as well. The hotel is beautifully curated, the amenities and toiletries are very nice, and the a/c is cold enough for this very warm tropical area. 「Loved this house, very close to everything in Central Suchitoto, amazing view of the lake, very tastefully furnished. The pool and garden is beautiful and very private with an amazing variety of birds landing in the garden, from hummingbirds to toucans. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. Excellent communication from the host; there was an initial mixup with our dates and everything was settled quickly and efficiently. All-in-all, this house is a gem and we would definitely book it...
