My room was spacious and clean. I had a place to put everything and keep my things organised. The mattress was a bit firm for my liking, but I still slept comfortably. Overall, I had a great stay. "Staff so friendly and welcoming. Clean rooms, beautiful design of bar/lobby/restaurant as well as rooms. Breakfast buffet had many choices and was delicious food. The hotel is located immediately below the historic university buildings. Our room had a spacious balcony on a quiet courtyard (autumn). The rooftop patio offers beautiful views of the city. Staff provided a free drink upon arrival, a free glass of wine at 6pm, and brought chocolate and a bedtime story to the room in the evening. This is our favorite hotel in Portugal, improved only if they would provide a kettle or coffeemaker in the room."
