"The location of the hotel is very good for exploring the Tain L'Hermitage region just across the bridge on the other side of the Rhone. From here you can walk around the hill of Hermitage and visit the wineries. The hotel is in a grand building, stylistically refurbished and has a fantastic view from the outdoor swimming pool. The staff are young, enthusiastic and professional and the host was excellent in making suggestions for local restaurants and wine shops. I would recommend this hotel."

"We had a wonderful stay in the Chapoutier Gite "La Tour du Pavillon" in the midst of perhaps the best vineyard on the hill of Hermitage. A Syrah lover's dream. Although it is small (about 27 sq m/290 sq ft per the description) it is so well equipped. The staff was extremely helpful for check in and check out, and quickly took care of the one maintenance issue we encountered even though it was very late in the evening.
