"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

" I would not recommend this house, the pictures are sugarcoated. Bedrooms are okay, everything else was either dirty or demaged/ broken. The first couple of days it smelled moldy and musty. I can’t list all the shortcomings( first day no warm water, one day no electricity, the last 5 days no WiFi ( probably still not working) The area is nice, so is the garden, but even the parasol is broken."

"Lovely cottage, really well equipped and very clean, quiet and comfortable. Hospitality from owners Samantha and Glenn was also excellent. Would thoroughly recommend as a place for a couple to stay when in Normandy."
