Fantastic place right on the beach!

User friendly comfortable first floor unit! Beach is just outside the patio doors with easy access. Host made check in and check out easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Crystal Sands

Overall very pleased with the condo. Only problem which was reported to the host was a strong musty smell upon arrival. Could be a problem with renters not realizing how humid it is when not running air conditioner properly or maybe filters/duct work needs to be checked. Took a few days for the smell to disappear. Other than that enjoyed the rental and being right at the beach was fantastic! Hope to return in the future.

Fall Break

Could not have asked for a better place! So clean, more than enough of space for 7 of us, and the host was quick with a response and so helpful. Beach access was great and the chair rental guy went above and beyond.

We stayed here June of ’23-It was clean & beautiful. We enjoyed it so much that we booked it again this year 6/24. Sadly, our experience was a LOT different this yr. Upon entry we were met with a gagging odor! EVERYTHING was damp, if not WET - the floors, counters, furniture, BEDDING and bath towels! We dried the towels to be able to use them after a shower! There were no sheets for the sofa bed. We got them the NEXT day but had to sleep on our beach towels the first night…There was mold/mildew around all the vents & water dripping down the grates-It was nasty. We contacted Debra several times regarding the problems but either got no response, weak excuses or total disregard. On Day 3 I sent Debra photos of the wet floor & the mold/mildew around vents & expressed my concern regarding AIR QUALITY. (my mom has COPD). Her text: "Theres a lot of humidity because of the gulf.” She clearly thought we must not know the difference between normal gulf moisture & an AC unit problem! After leaving I received a text from Debra apologizing for the ac problem & an offer of $100. After this acknowledgement that there was an actual problem-$100 is not sufficient compensation for a damp bed for 6 nights. We were unable to stay elsewhere after spending $4k for this unit. We chose this location with its close proximity to the beach for my mom (COPD). Spending more for lodging wasn’t in the budget. We are considering reporting the condition of this unit to the FL Dept of Health.

Great place to stay

Overall the place is as described online, right on the private beach. Donna was super quick to respond to messages. The only reason for the four stars is the way the locks are set up for the bathrooms, it has two sliding doors that has locking systems on them but don’t work, so if you are big on privacy someone can just walk in on you while you are using the bathroom or showering. The master bedroom is on the parking lot side of the building and we was woken up early in the morning by ppl talking outside our window standing by their vehicles so make sure and bring a fan to block out the noise but other than that it’s perfect 😁😁

Perfect stay!

We always stay on scenic hwy 98 usually two blocks down in another small condo building. This was our first time in the Crystal Sands building, but this unit on the first floor with a walk out to the beach from the patio was the best!!! We had the best time to kick off our summer. Will definitely want to stay here again.

Family Vacation

We loved everything about the stay. The location was perfect, we were next to plenty of restaurants and shopping. The unit was nicely updated and the kids loved the bunk beds. We loved being on the first floor, very easy to walk down to the beach with all the kids. Also, beach service was always set up early in the morning and since the complex we stayed out wasn't very big, we always had beachfront access. Would recommend this unit to another family with small children.

The condo was exactly as pictured. We enjoyed our stay as it was right on the beach. I felt comfortable staying here by myself for the first two nights until my husband arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, great beach access!

We enjoyed our spring break trip to Destin. The condo was very clean, and you can’t beat the easy access to the beautiful beach. The complimentary beach service was a perk as well! The only thing we didn’t like (and this is not a reflection of our actual unit), is that the outside front entrance feels very much like a motel. The back is beautiful, and has a totally different feel. Great back porch area overlooking the beach, just wished the front didn’t feel so much like a motel. Also the pool wasn’t the best. It is exactly what was pictured in the photos though (we just hoped it would be a bit better in person). Again though- our actual unit was great- nicely decorated and clean. Communication with the property manager before our stay was great as well. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place in Destin that is RIGHT on the water (and not concerned with not having a resort-type feel), this is a great place!

Beautiful oceanfront condo

This has been my favorite condo in Destin. Beautifully updated and decorated throughout. I love the open kitchen and the beautiful tiled shower. The view out the sliding glass doors is perfect. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds and being close and the outlets and their own lights. There were a couple of issues with the beds. The king mattress is way too worn out and sinks in the middle BAD. Thankfully we had our own sheets because there were two top sheets and no fitted sheet. I slept on the foot of the bed all week and my husband slept on the couch due to the bed being so worn and uncomfortable. The kids beds weren't clean and the bottom bunk had sand in it along with top sheets only as well. We heard lots of stomping. Not just normal noise. Loud wall vibrating stomping. It will keep you up all night.

So Close To The Beach

We had an amazing time. We would love to return next year. The view is great. Perfect place to watch the sunrise and set over the Gulf. The condo had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful.

Perfect location!

Very nice condo. It was well equipped and perfect for me and my husband. The second half bath was so convenient. Can’t beat the location… beautiful view and steps to the beach. Loved the beach chair service! Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance or a short drive of less then 3-5 miles. Highly recommend! And thanks to our host Donna for making sure we had everything we needed prior to our trip.
