"The rooms were quite clean with very friendly staff. I would’ve loved to have had some yogurt at breakfast but did not see any. I did not go into the hot tub although I did do the treadmill and I very much enjoyed that! Overall, great stay!"

"Space was clean. We had an upstairs ocean view (which was beautiful) and the space was big and comfortable. They’re in the middle of renovations which we’re really excited to see when we go next!
The staff were all very nice and helpful.
The pool was warm and they have a little changing cabana and shower (heated water) on site.
There is a washer and dryer available near the laundry and currently costs $3 to wash and $3 to dry, which was very convenient.
All in all, I’d recommend the Painter’s Lodge and will definitely be back. Especially for the chocolate cake!"

"A perfect relaxing retreat in a great location. It was exactly as advertised. Very comfortably furnished. The kitchen was well stocked. Very enjoyable stay. "

"Dated and a bit tired, but good sized cabin, clean and functional. Good stocked kitchen and great location within walking distance of Cortes ferry and grocery store/cafe. Like other reviews, yes, mattress is hard and bedroom curtains need to be thick/darker.
Off season kitchen closes at 7pm so plan accordingly!

"Great view facing west! Fun to watch the nearby nesting eagles, seals and ducks. Cottage was very well appointed, clean, cozy and tastefully decorated. We were lucky to have sunny weather in March! Lovely place to stay while exploring beautiful Quadra Island. "

"Another great stay !! New heat pump adds to comfort level. Tina is a fabulous host. Close walk to grocery store, gift shop, or pub. Short drive to other shops and restaurants. Close to walking trails too. "
