New! Sweet little cabin, Hiking, Fishing, BBQs, fire pits and picnic tables

The cabins are 375 square feet and have nice bathrooms, microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot. you also get a hair dryer and their are no shared walls. The Cabins are new and quite nice. you have 2 fire pits and 2 barbecues and a picnic table in a nice clean and quite setting. Only 10 minutes from Talkeetna and all the fun things to do in between. Cache cabins are only 2 hours from Anchorage on the way to Denali state park, their are several places to eat and all services are within 1 mile. Hope to see you soon, happy trails!

BAIT AND SWITCH! From New Sweet Little Cabin, to a room in the basement! Except for a text shortly before my arrival, the host, Regina, did not communicate that there had been a change. I arrived expecting to be in my own private cabin. Instead I was led through the hosts house, down some stairs to a room in her basement. This was totally unacceptable. I was left scrambling for alternative accommodations at 9:30PM during high travel season in Alaska. Regina blamed the agency which is nonsense, since hosts control bookings. Beware of this host!!

Clean, quiet, comfortable bed...but very bare-bones place. Biggest complaint: No shower enclosure, just a curtain, so every shower results in flooding the entire bathroom floor. Had to use the box fan in the room to dry the floor during the night so you wouldn't be walking in a puddle when you went to use the bathroom at night. Kind of nuts. There should be something there to keep the water in the shower space. Blackout curtains on the two windows were so-so, but kind of moot because no way to black out the window on the door...the louver blind let tons of light through.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had originally booked one of the cabins, but due to a booking error, the cabin wasn’t available, so our host put us up in her own house. It was very nice! We were thrilled that we weren’t canceled or that had to find another place to rent. Our host, Regina, was polite, professional, and very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
