We traveled across Afsluitdijk while touring in the Netherlands. It was truly impressive to see how the small nation has kept the sea at bay (no pun intended). At this stop near the middle of the structure, there is some history that explains how each stone was installed by hand, along with a great many other impressive metrics. Worth the trip.

Den Oever is the last village before you go accros the 32 km Afsluitdijk, which separates the IJsselmeer from the Waddenzee. 全体的に快適・便利
全体として快適だった。 繁華街にも徒歩圏で近く 便利。 また、最終日 フライトの関係で朝食がまだ全然やっていない早朝出発だったが、朝食用のサンドイッチ等をパックで用意してくれてありがたかった。 一つ、ちょっとだけ高い部屋の特徴であるジャグジーが故障のため使用不可となっていたことだけは残念。

Very nice room and a fantastic view. The room was big and had two tv’s. The restaurant seems to forget that tourists don’t speak Dutch. The server was hard to reach but the food was nice.
