"The esthetics of the hotel are fine, the room looked clean, it didn't smell to clean however it looks fine. The heating was not working, the bathroom is not practical as is open and you have to clean it after having a shower as it gets everything wet, they even put the tools to do it, so they are very aware of the issue. The hot water was intermittent so I didn't enjoyed the shower at all. Breakfast has variety, however low quality, microwaved eggs, and other things that taste like plastic. On the website the breakfast was announced for like €34, on the desk they asked me for €21, too expensive for what they offer. Not really my cup of tea. Happy to share pictures but I don't see the option to add them."

"We stayed for two nights in a terrace room expecting a tranquil forest retreat, but it was anything but relaxing weekend. Room 1009 is opposite the indoor pool, so noise from children continued past 23:00 and started again around 7:00. Pool cleaning began at 6:20, and hallway vacuuming shortly after 7:00 added to the disturbance. The hotel is clean, but the atmosphere feels like a youth hostel/water park. The minimalistic room décor resembles a university dorm, and bathrobes cost an extra €10. Overall, not recommended unless you’re travelling with young children, as the hotel is extremely noisy. ⸻ If you need it even shorter, I can tighten it further."

"Great location in center of Alkmaar! Shops & restaurants right outside the door. The hotel is beautiful and our room was great. The lofted room would not work well for someone with mobility challenges but worked well for us. Very responsive communication from the hotel! Would happily stay there again. "
