"We absolutely loved the welcoming warm greetings of the staff person. The room was spacious and very clean with a comfortable bed. We missed a hand rail in the tub/shower. We did not like the frequent and repetitive messaging regarding our arrival and departure times. One even tried to upsell us on an earlier arrival time and larger room. This was annoying and if it hadn’t been for the lovely desk person we might not have enjoyed the property as much. Please reconsider this intrusive marketing. Greta Levinson Sent from my iPhone "

"Breakfast not worth it. The building is old, so clean for how old it is, I think? Things are just kind of falling apart, the toilet felt like it was going to come off the floor, the towel rack did fall off, but the jetted tub was in great shape and lovely so could have been a newer addition. Signage for the phone at check in is not clear, we are very educated people, but were made to feel very stupid when we didn’t go around the outside to the left 2 corners of the building to see the phone to call for check in. Then our reservation wasn’t found because she didn’t “hear” my last name correctly until I spelled it. Just overall an unwelcoming arrival, but that’s the only contact we had to have so that’s fine. The resident deer are sooo cute and come for apples and goodies and obviously have been there for years. I don’t think we will go back, we live locally but just look for a few days away from home now and then.. but it was just ok."

"Excellent stay. This home had ample space for me & my family. We thought of bringing our dogs since this home is dog friendly, but decided not to for other reasons. Knowing, though, that was an option was very important in our choice. We made a fire in one of the 4 fireplaces every night, & much of the wood was courteously left for us by the owner. The view from the living room’s & bedrooms was spectacular looking out on to the bay & the San Juan Islands. Town is a healthy walk from this house, & the road is safe for walking & riding a bicycle. We will definitely want to stay here again on our next visit to Lopez Island. "

"Average for the price. It was a bit rundown but not bad. I noticed more noise from neighbors than normal. I also thought the small metal tray attached to the wall was not a good replacement for a night stand. Overall it was clean and comfortable but don’t know if I will book at the same place next time. "It was a clean simple motel stay with excellent water access and a nice view of Fisherman's bay Only complaint was our upstairs neighbors were a bit loud (I suspect they were locals) but we were off-season on a Friday night, it was fine."

"Nice location on the island. should consider tv's as there's not much to do after dinner. most of the stores/restaurants were closed mid week during out stay."
