"This hotel was an absolute gem and I am so glad we stayed here. Finn was super friendly, approachable, and helpful over the phone. Our rooms were clean, the bathrooms were nice, and the whole aesthetic of the hotel was really cool.
The hotel restaurant was shockingly good! I got the Wagyu burger and fries with a beer and it was incredible. They also have a cool little Biergarten in the back that we spent some time playing board games together at night, which was such a fun time.
I think our only possible complaints about the hotel was the bed mattresses could be a bit better (a bit stiff for our liking) and minor things with the bath tubs having out of order jets or something (honestly not even a big deal).
All in all, it was like a 9.5/10 experience as part of our trip to Yosemite and I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family from now on!"
"The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious and comfortable for an overnight stay in the middle of a long road trip.
The air conditioner was fairly noisy, but it was too warm to sleep without it. The window could only be opened slightly for ventilation, and that wasn’t enough to cool the room down. It’s a small detail, but it does affect the quality of sleep.
I thought the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. It included scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and muffins. It was convenient not to have to spend extra time finding breakfast before getting back on the road."
"Our family made a trip from Utah where we hit Yosemite National Park first, starting from the east side (Lee Vining) and ending on the west side. We stopped in Oakdale at this Best Western after spending the day in Yosemite and before heading on to the Bay Area for the rest of our trip.
Oakdale is charming, a great city and this hotel is a great family-friendly hotel. Given the super-long day of hiking in Yosemite, this is a very convenient stop-off and near restaurants and stores etc."
