Marion and Augustin, winemakers (wine tasting and sales on site, a complimentary bottle upon arrival), welcome you to an authentic, characterful 18th-century winemaker's house, carefully restored and steeped in history. Located on a historic vineyard estate (the oldest part of which dates back to the 14th century), it sits on a south-facing hillside bordering a small pasture and quiet lane, just steps from the surrounding vineyards and the village's listed 12th-century Romanesque church. In the heart of a small wine-growing village typical of the Mâconnais countryside, nestled at the foot of the famous Roche de Solutré, a designated "Grand Site de France" for its exceptional heritage and landscape (one of the largest prehistoric sites in Europe, boasting 50,000 years of human presence), it offers a superb, unobstructed view over the Saône plain all the way to Mont Blanc! A magnificent, unspoiled setting nestled within a sublime landscaped haven, a bucolic rolling countryside alternating between vast vineyard slopes and the wooded hills of the beautiful surrounding wild forests. A very comfortable cottage. A warm, rustic charm elegantly blends tradition and modernity, creating a contemporary feel with the cozy atmosphere of a gentle family home. Full of charm.
