Hidden but good

The hotel is kind of hard to get to and it took us a while to find it even though we had GPS guidance. The property is well kept, but our initial room smelled of smoke though it was designated as non-smoking. The staff were helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was only an overnight stay. The value was great since we were using out rewards.

My boyfriend and I just wanted a night away. Book regular king room, got a king room with a jetted tub for no extra charge. Clean and big room. Previous guest stole remote and front guest gave us another but it didn't work but not a big deal. We missed breakfast but they had waffle irons and smelled good.

My observations

The room was clean. It had a few stains on the floor, the microwave was all burnt up on the inside, only 2 lights had bulbs in the main room. The mini fridge froze everything. The large window was cracked from one side to the other. The bed was clean and comfortable and my room was quiet.

Good but...

When my wife and I walked into the lobby, everything seemed alright. But once we walked into the room, it smelled as though we walked into a funeral home because of the smell. The carpet needs some cleaning. When I walked barefoot on the carpet, my feet were dirty when I stepped into the shower. The pool was good and the people there were great but I do not believe I will ever stay there until they remodel it.
