4 out of 5
i chose this hotel for its proximity to the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center and because of the price since I wasn’t going to be there much. It excelled in those two areas but fell short in others. Nothing major that ruined my stay, just little awkward things like only one tiny trash can for a spacious king room, no luggage rack, a clock with the incorrect time that couldn’t be set, a phone that had no dial tone so you couldn’t call the front desk, a night stand drawer that wouldn’t stay shut, that kind of thing. I asked to have the clock and phone issue taken care of, twice, but it never happened. As I said tho, I wasn’t in my room very much due to the event I was attending at the convention center so I managed just fine. Although the room itself showed some wear and tear it was clean and comfortable and had a lot of room. It had a bar area with a microwave and refrigerator with an actual freezer compartment, a really large desk area and a sitting area. The hotel has coin operated laundry on two of the 4 floors which is always nice although I didn’t use it this trip. The breakfast was standard fare but adequate. So all in all, if not for the compilation of minor annoyances this would have been a pretty good stay. As it was, I was just glad to have gotten a really good deal. …i chose this hotel for its proximity to the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center and because of the price since I wasn’t going to be there much.
