Big Water View- Lake Martin-Sunset Station!

Sunset Station is a ranch home located on the point of Sunset Cove, Lake Martin, AL. We are 30 miles from Auburn University. The sun will set and rise on the dock which is 30 feet from the back porch. The back porch has a BIG lake view and is the length of the house. There is a hammock on the way to the dock that is nice for reading and enjoying the sounds of Lake Martin. You will see sailboats, pontoon boats, bass boat, ski boat and a pontoon plane on the lake. The wildlife is amazing: you will see loons, duck, fish jumping, deer, geese and much more. We have a bald eagle on the lake I see often. Here on the lake you may see a snake, non-venomous scorpion, turtles, and coyotes; you can’t beat the wildlife sightings. You will have access to the canoe. Coffee in the morning will never be the same, forever memories of your stay at Sunset Station because of the big water view and closeness of the water. There are many restaurants on the lake with live music. Easy to catch fish off the dock. We have handrails down to the the dock for easier access to the water.
Fully furnished home with bedding, towels and other needed essentials. 55 inch television with full cable, high-speed Wi-Fi, grill, hammock, large deck, plenty of outdoor seating, dock, and plenty of peace and quiet. All local streets are paved, relatively untraveled, and great for running or walking. House is two miles from the public boat launch, plenty of restaurants.

  • Tuskegee University, one of the largest historically black universities in the United States, is a private university located in Tuskegee, Alabama. It was founded by Lewis Adams, a former slave, and George W. Campbell, a former slave owner. Adams asked that an educational institution for blacks be established. After Foster won the election, $2,000 (per year) was allocated from the state general budget for such a school to be located in Macon County. What an awesome location and house. It’s really close to the lake with an awesome fire pit. The water is amazingly clear and clean, and the location is serene and quiet. Ward was an amazing host and quickly communicated with me. The kitchen is well stocked too! I plan to stay here again!

The house was clean, relaxing, and full of amenities. The lake and dock were wonderful. I didn’t catch any fish, but that’s a skill issue on my part. The lake views are beautiful, and the restaurants in town were good.

Wonderful spring break getaway!

We have stayed at this location a few times now. Love the home, love the back porch, the dock and the area in general. Shopping options for necessities are just minutes away and dining options are plentiful. We love it there! And even had one of our kiddos catch a fish this last time! It was a lovely and fun family trip.

Gorgeous property with amazing open water views. The deck, hammock, and dock were enjoyed by all four of us. Kitchen is well stocked, air conditioner works beautifully, and love the convenience of washer/dryer for beach towels, clothes, etc. Owners were quick to accommodate us after we were unable to contact property manager at house we had booked for the week. We will definitely be returning to Sunset Station in the future. Be sure to check out Russell Crossroads, The Landing at Harbor Point and all the other lake attractions. Fun will be had by all.

4th of July Family Vacation

Great experience. Owner laid out everything perfectly and answered any questions promptly. House is on a great lot. Sits up high enough for incredible view but still easy to access dock. Would definitely stay again

PERFECT!!

From the great location to being well-stocked, this was perfect for our family!! Our boys were able to have friends visit with lots of indoor and outdoor room for socializing! The rockers on the back porch were great for watching the guys do tricks/wake surf in the big water!!

Wonderful location

We loved our stay at this home. The location is wonderful, lots of nature around. Used provided canoe and Kajaks and were able as a family of 7 explore a small island close to the home together. Kids loved the floating platform and the Lilipad. Hiking at Smith Tower was fun, loved Niffers Restaurant close by. Caught lots of fish. Firepit at sunset was amazing. Fast responses from owner. Overall a great stay.

Love love love this spot!

Beautiful and kid friendly! 5 minutes from public boat lauch and perfect boat house with dock to swim off of. The house was clean and well maintained and has a stunningly huge back porch with the most beautiful view! There is everything you need for cooking. Gas grill all the utensils, crockpot, keurig, regular coffee maker. There was even a hair chair so my youngest child. Highly recommend!
