Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Conference Center
8/10 Good
"It was difficult to find our room (5105 in the Oceanside bldg). Especially since we arrived after it was dark (after sunset). Turns out, the room entrances of some of the rooms are on the backside of the parking lot and one has to climb down a steep ramp to get to the room. It might help to have more prominent signs for the specific room numbers."

"It was a great place, room was recently renovated. Breakfast had lots of options and plentiful. It was convenient for going to and from Acadia and many food/shopping oltions nearby. Would definitely stay here again."

"The staff at the inn are very friendly and helpful. And the breakfasts are amazing! We were there for 4 nights and we had a choice to pick from 2 different made to order hot breakfasts every day with fruit. Of course there is cereal, oatmeal, apples, bananas, coffee, orange juice, tea, etc. Plus the location is close to downtown for an easy walk to local restaurants and store shopping. And it's a short drive to all the walking trails at Arcadia National Park. Great place to stay and have fun!"
Island View Hotel Bar Harbor

"The location of this hotel is good, just off the island so traveling to Schoodic or Campobello was convenient. It was is close to the Acadia Gateway Center where you can pick up the Island Express for easy access to the NP. Rooms on bay side have a lovely view. You can watch a sunrise while seeing the clammers working. We stayed almost a week. After 2 days I asked when the room would be cleaned and was told they did not do service during the stay. That meant no garbage removed, coffee pods, cups or other items were refreshed. The desk clerk was friendly and suggested I leave the garbage and any towels we wanted replaced outside the door of our room and those tasks would be done. I had to stop at the front desk for additional coffee and cups. More frequent room service would be a great improvement."
Days Inn Bar Harbor

"Pros: One mile from downtown Bar Harbor, eight minutes from Cadillac Mountain, bathroom clean and great water pressure, beds super comfortable and clean, huge TV selection, wide and sturdy staircase to second floor, heat worked great. Cons: Gaps in door frame let a beetle come in and let in a lot of light and sound. No locks on the front windows (doubt anyone else noticed but no rooms technically secure). If fully booked, not enough parking for all guests (so we were back by 6 every night). Have stayed at hotels of rim of Grand Canyon, in town outside Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons and in the Olympic Peninsula, and honestly this was the best of the group."

"This property was lovely and clean, in close proximity to Bar Harbour and the Acadia Park, and the owners were very helpful and kind. As two young women travelling alone, we felt very safe here and would definitely recommend it."
