We requested on a Wednesday to book this property for the Saturday. It took over 24 hours for confirmation, which left us on edge about potentially not being able to proceed and then cutting it too close to book another property.
The property is managed by a property manager, who is lovely, and provided most information.
Drop box made check in easy. However, A check in QR code was sent to check in for Covid reasons, but for the wrong address. The water was also not connected upon arrival, with no instructions via email or a hard copy book in house to fix this. We managed to do this ourselves eventually.
The ad said linen was not provided, but there was linen on all beds when we arrived. The ad also said that beds were Queens - they are doubles and are VERY hard. I’m not one to complain about a place to sleep, but I had about one hour of sleep the first night due to the small and uncomfortable bed.
There were ample dishes, pots, cleaning products and basic food essentials in the house which was great. However, we found things like half-used condensed milk that had solidified and out of date products. Many dishes and cupboards were not overly clean.
Other than that, the house was presented very well with a large living area and kitchen and two bathrooms.
There is no backyard (photo of outdoor area is on the street with no fence) but the house does overlook a nice lake. There is not much around, no cafes within 1km. Probably a tad too far to walk to the main shops, particularly in the winter. The street was quiet and pretty, though.
A $300 bond was required upon booking and was returned 1.5 weeks later.
A good option for a last minute booking, but probably won’t book here again.
