"I've stayed at Old Silk Appartments twice so far in apartments 8 and 9. Both I found spotless, white soft towels, comfy beds, tastefully decorated well maintained and adequately appointed. Large fridge freezer, 4 ring hob oven and microwave, basic set of kitchen utensils and a couple of pans adequate to cook something simple. "Gardens were lovely. Quiet relaxing hotel. Room not big, basic but ok Air con was noisy outside window. No room Aircon. Room was in new part. Loads of space in the hotel itself. Different rooms. Great for weddings or conferences. All very grand, posh looking. Dated some might say in areas. Good parking. Staff nice. No pressures anywhere. Would go back. Not a Coventry fan though when driving about."

"The entrance to the hotel is lovely and has a warm open feel. The new bar area looked well decorated and full of drinks to enjoy - staff were more than happy to help provide cold water for us and ice as well. The receptionist was welcoming, only thing was she didn't mention how to get to our room, we had to ask and there are no information booklets so be sure to have an idea of days out if on holiday. Room was bright and clean, it had a strange fan in the room which wasn't making it any cooler but had brought our own USB fan from home and with USB ports in the plug sockets it was perfect! Loads of plug sockets and conveniently placed. Only slight downside was the pool and 'spa' - pool has cracked/ missing tiles and as far as we could see there weren't any treatment rooms, but lovely staff and there was a sauna for a relax after swimming with comfy sun loungers on the pool side and gym which we didn't use. We didn't have an evening meal but we had breakfast every day with a great range of drinks, English Breakfast, gluten free cornflakes and toast (you need to ask for this) and lots of jams or honey or marmalade to choose from! Very delicious and the staff were really helpful and attentive - making sure everything was topped up. Really pleasant stay and perfect for a little get away!"

"Firstly, the staff were wonderful on arrival, namely Tom and Ron. Though on check out slightly disappointing. Unfortunately the room cleanliness left a bit to be desired. Bath had hairs in, bathroom floor wasn’t clean and needed to be swept. Soap dispensers had leaked and the bin hadn’t been emptied. There was a sticky residue on the desk area which I assume was from a drink from the previous occupiers. In regards to maintenance of the room, one of the bedside lights didn’t work, two power sockets didn’t work and also the hairdryer. Curtains had come away from the track also. The real star of the show were the staff, especially Tom on reception who was a lovely bubbly character. Even with the relatively minor faults, we would stay here again and I’m almost certain if I’d have addressed these issues with the management they would have resolved them or moved us to a different room. For the price we paid and the level of staff service upon check in we were happy overall."
